The best method of getting the best color match is to order our color chart, so you can hold up the swatches to your existing color and see which is the best match. While it may be tempting to try to match the color based on the online images, because different monitors/screens show colors differently, and because of how lighting affects colors, it is best to get the physical chart rather than relying on the on-screen colors.
You can order your color chart at getsoto.com/colorchart. It ships first class within 1 business day, so you should receive it within 3-5 business days (occasionally, USPS runs slow, so if you haven't received it after 10 days, please contact us so we can send out a replacement). Make sure you enter all pertinent information (such as apartment number) to ensure fastest delivery.
When you get your color chart, it will be best to view the swatches against the current color using the brightest natural light available (open any curtains or blinds, try to do this at midday). Lighting is the most critical element: natural light will deliver the most accurate color, while artificial light may make two similar colors look vastly different due to the way the light interacts on the surface. If you tape the closest colors to your wall and stand back about 5 feet (sometimes closing one eye helps), you should be able to get a better visual for contrast or lack thereof. By doing this, you will likely arrive at the closest color through the process of elimination.
You are the best person to determine the color since you are physically able to observe the surface and compare it to the color chart in person. Trust your eyes!
