If the holes are very small, like from push-pins or thumbtacks, the Multi-Surface Paint Touch Up alone may be sufficient, but for most holes and cracks in surfaces like walls and doors, we would recommend using our Lightweight Spackle for a smooth finish, since paint alone may still allow a hole, indentation, or gap to show through. (Paint alone will minimize the defect and may be sufficient for your purposes, but you may still be able to see where the chip was if it's not filled in.)
Our spackle comes in five different shades of white (No. 01 Perfect White, No. 06 Gesso White, No. 07 In Situ White, No. 08 Artisan White, and No. 09 Rough Sketch). We carry it in 4-ounce tubes, 8-ounce tubs, and in our 7-piece patching kits for both smaller and larger holes.
.
If you're wanting to fill in a gap in a surface that will be underwater, the spackle may not work well. While our paint, once fully cured, can stand up to some water exposure, if you are wanting to fill in a hole, crack, chip, etc., in a surface that will be submerged underwater, you may need to use Soto's Appliance + Porcelain 8-piece Epoxy Repair Kit to actually fill in the chip.
