While our products are 100% water-based and thus are not flammable, Soto's Appliance + Porcelain Touch Up is not rated for high-heat surfaces like the burners themselves or the insides of ovens. It is intended for areas of the stove that will be kept cooler, such as the doors, edges, and sides, but it is not intended for the areas that will be exposed to direct heat or high temperatures. (We have done some preliminary testing in an oven at 400*F, and it still retained its durability and appearance. It is not recommended that it be in direct contact with a flame, since that can be even 900*F.)
Please note that although our paint dries to the touch within about half an hour or so, it does not fully cure or reach its optimal hardness before about 1-2 weeks (the exact times vary depending on several environmental factors such as humidity and temperature). The longer you let it cure/harden, the more durable it will be. We strongly recommend that if you use it on an area exposed to high temperatures, that you let it fully cure before exposing it to heat.
