Yes, it can! Soto's Appliance + Porcelain Touch Up will be best for small projects that have a glossy (shiny) finish, while our Multi-Surface Paint Touch Up will be best for small projects that have a matte (non-glossy) -- or use our Clear Touch Up in a range of five sheens for the desired level of gloss. Our Premium All-In-One House Paint, which comes in pints, quarts, gallons, and five gallons, will be best for larger projects.
Our customers have used it for a variety of projects, in the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room, as well as other projects both indoors and outside. They have used it on refrigerators and freezers (see more about that here), dryers, on microwaves, the low-heat surfaces of stoves, ovens, and ranges, enamel steel bathtubs, cast iron bathtubs, enameled iron sinks, and even computer cases. (We have done some preliminary testing in an oven at 400*F, and it still retained its durability and appearance. It is not recommended that it be in direct contact with a flame.)
For best results, proper preparation is critical to ensure the best results. While specific metals or types of projects may need slightly different prep, in general, you will want to prepare the surface by removing any rust, old paint, oil, dust, etc. Next, wipe or vacuum the surface clean, and wash with soapy water. Let dry. If it's a metal that rusts, you will want to apply a rust-inhibiting primer. Once your surface is properly prepared, you can use our touch-up paints or all-in-one paint according to the instructions enclosed.
